Shireen Bhatia
Shireen Bhatia is a Han Santos legal intern supporting Gloria Steinberg as well as Patent Preparation and Prosecution matters in the firm. She is currently pursuing her J.D. at the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law.
Shireen holds degrees in Biology and Spanish from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. It was during an internship with the World Vegetable Center that Shireen found her interests lay in both law and science. She then shifted her post-grad focus to the world of IP law to merge both passions. Upon graduation she applied to UNH.
Recently, Shireen interned for both IBM, with their patent team, as well as the United States International Trade Commission. She is a member of Phi Alpha Delta and placed within the top four teams at back-to-back national mock trial competitions. Shireen was also a finalist in the 2019-2020 UNH Moot Court Competition. In her free time, Shireen is also a pianist and enjoys playing classical, modern and Broadway pieces.
Shireen’s impressive background is clearly just the start of what will be a promising law career and she is excited to continue her education in IP and Corporate law, side-by-side with our clients and team-members.
