Shamim Mohandessi works within the Han Santos Corporate and Securities Practice Group. His work focuses on emerging growth companies in technology, media, and telecommunications. His clients are typically enterprise-oriented, recurring revenue businesses heavily invested in intellectual property.
Shamim represents a broad spectrum of companies, chief among them are startup organizations. His work with startups includes early stage financings, providing general counsel, working towards the process of being acquired, and driving transactions. However, he also drafts standard operating procedures for large corporations.
Prior to joining Han Santos, Shamim was a member of a regional corporate and securities firm where he represented startup companies in their securities offerings and corporate matters.
Shamim entered the legal profession after a brief career as a utility policy analyst for an energy utility. He managed an energy efficiency innovation pipeline and new technology pilot pipeline.
Shamim’s passion for startups and business consulting began with his time at an advertising startup where he gleaned hands-on experience with the unique challenges facing emerging corporations.
In addition to his practice, Shamim lectures on the legal needs of emerging growth companies at the University of Washington and devotes time to several non-profit organizations, addressing needs of the community in the Pacific Northwest.
