Shamim Mohandessi works within the Han Santos Corporate and Securities Practice Group. His work focuses on emerging growth companies in technology, media, and telecommunications. His clients are generally B2B and enterprise oriented recurring revenue businesses heavily invested in their intellectual property and in a phase of rapid growth. His clients span wireline and wireless telecommunications companies, software companies in cloud computing, artificial intelligence and machine learning, cybersecurity, healthcare, genomics and beyond.
Shamim represents client from formation through venture capital and strategic financings and M&A. He routinely negotiates joint-ventures, strategic partnerships, and other collaborative relationships. Additionally, Shamim has developed and continues to manage innovation strategies for clients looking to accelerate innovation through acquisition.
Prior to joining Han Santos, Shamim was a member of a regional corporate and securities firm where he represented startup companies in their securities offerings and corporate matters.
Shamim entered the legal profession after a brief career as a utility policy analyst for an energy utility. He managed an energy efficiency innovation pipeline and new technology pilot pipeline. Shamim’s first experience with emerging companies was as an early employee of a small advertising startup.
Shamim regularly lectures graduate and undergraduate students on the on the legal aspects of emerging growth companies at the University of Washington and Seattle University. He also devotes time to several non-profit organizations, addressing needs of the community in the Pacific Northwest.
