Dan Stanger

Managing Partner | DC Office

Dan Stanger is the Managing Partner of our DC office and adds 35 years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications to the Han Santos IP team. His core industry experience includes the electrical, mechanical, communications and software. 

As a managing partner, Dan is responsible for all DC operationsadministration and practices. This includes our DC patent, cybersecurity, privacy and test law practices.  He is also personally responsible for the managing the growth of the DC patent practice. 

Dan is fluent in all phases of patent procurement, from invention harvesting and inventor counseling through appellate practice at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He also brings extensive experience with Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) (non-US) patent practice 

Prior to joining the firm, Dan served as outside counsel to a large Japanese electronics company for over 20 years. He was also a founding shareholder and president for two international intellectual propertboutique law firms. The latter firm was recognized as a worldwide top-20 IP firm by both IAM Magazine and Ocean Tomo.  

Dan’s extensive patent experience spans many technical fields. Chief among them are wireless/cellular communication software and hardware, signal transfer among mobile devices and access networks, enterprise storage systemsand semiconductors/micro-electronics including electro-mechanical devices.
