Of Counsel | IP Transactions Practice Lead

Curtis Hom serves as the Team Lead for the IP Transactions Group at Han Santos, helping clients build and implement successful technology business strategies. His work focuses primarily on helping clients plan, negotiate and close strategic IP-based transactions, and supporting public corporation board of directors' governance and performance evaluations. Prior to joining the firm, Curtis helmed his own boutique Intellectual Property law practice for 11 years.

He also helped form standards development collaborations between Microsoft and other leading core technology companies. He also advocated on behalf of Microsoft and other US companies to standards policy agencies in the People’s Republic of China.

Curtis is an Affiliate Instructor in the Intellectual Property Department at the University of Washington School of Law, where he taught for several years. He also lectures occasionally at the Foster School of Business and at the Global Innovation Exchange (GIX), a cooperative venture between the University of Washington and Tsinghua University.
